One day along the ocean, told frame by frame.
This is not a guided tour. It is a story told in pictures.
We leave Lisbon across the red bridge; from the south bank we see the whole city — hills, roofs, bridge, light on the water. Our first picture of the day.
Then the coast: Estoril and the casino that inspired Casino Royale, pine trees and vineyards, until the land ends and the Atlantic begins.
Cliffs, white villages — and then higher, to a place I prefer not to name. Some views are better discovered yourself.
From there, the whole day comes together: the cape, the cliffs, the village, the ocean.
No rush. One picture at a time.

Meeting in Lisbon
We start at the viewpoint in Parque Eduardo VII — or at your hotel, if that is easier.
Lisbon is just waking up.
The city is not a scene yet.
It is simply where our story begins.

25 de Abril Bridge
We cross the red bridge.
The Tagus is below us. Lisbon is behind us.
The road starts to feel different.
This is where we leave the city behind.

The First Picture
From the south side of the river, Lisbon opens up in front of us.
The bridge. The hills. The water. The city.
The first picture of the day.
The one that sets the mood for everything that follows.

Cristo Rei
Up close, it is huge concrete and stone.
From the river, it becomes a simple shape above Lisbon.
A silhouette we already know.
You will see it again as we travel along the coast.

The Coastal Road
We follow the road along the Atlantic, with the ocean always on our right.
We pass Estoril and its famous casino, where Ian Fleming stayed during the war.
The place later helped inspire his first James Bond story, Casino Royale.
Then the city slowly disappears — only the road, the pine trees and the ocean remain.

The Colares Picture
The road turns inland towards Colares, climbing through pine trees and coastal vineyards.
Close to the ocean, this scenic area was a favourite escape for Portuguese royalty.
Even England's former King, Edward VIII, once chose this coast as his home.
Today, after centuries of royal history, the landscape is simply quiet.

The End of the Land
Cabo da Roca — the most western point of mainland Europe.
In front of us there are only cliffs, wind and the Atlantic.
The poet Luís de Camões wrote about the place where the land ends and the sea begins.
Standing here, the words feel very simple. You can see it for yourself.

The Distant Picture
Far below us is Praia da Ursa.
Wild, quiet and surrounded by rocks.
We see it from above.
Some places are better from a distance.
091150 min
The Village Picture
Azenhas do Mar — white houses standing on the cliffs above the Atlantic.
A small natural pool sits between the rocks.
The whole village looks towards the sea.
It feels almost impossible that a place like this is so close to Lisbon.

The Last Picture
Our last stop is also the highest — and its name is a little secret for now.
Some places are better when you arrive without knowing exactly what to expect.
From the top, the whole journey comes together: the cape, the cliffs, Azenhas do Mar, the Atlantic.
Everything we saw during the day, in one view.

Return to Lisbon
We come down from the hills and return to Lisbon.
We can drop you off wherever is most convenient.
The journey ends here.
But the last picture stays with you.
